A direct application to Durham SCITT, or to one of our Lead Partners, guarantees the same high-quality training and support. We work with schools right across the North East and North Yorkshire, as well as the Tees Valley. Therefore, wherever you are based we can always find a placement to fit your needs!

Lead Partner Schools

Our Lead Partner Schools are a crucial part of our training programme; they not only host Durham SCITT core trainees but select and recruit trainees themselves. We have worked with many of our schools for nearly 20 years and they support and nurture our trainees, helping them to become great teachers. Behind every new teacher is an amazing mentor and we make sure that all mentors are fully trained to enable them to support trainees effectively.
